Our-Mission

Our Mission

Our mission is to acknowledge that domestic violence is a social issue. It’s not an individual problem. It’s a public health crisis. We work to improve lives through targeted help, education, and prevention.

Our Vision

We envision a world of healthy relationships built on mutual respect. Everyone should feel safe, secure, and valued in their relationship. There is an end to domestic violence. We’re working to help create this world.

Our Guiding Values

Experiencing domestic violence is traumatic. We designed our programs using a trauma informed approach. This approach recognizes the impact that trauma has on people.

  • Safety Healing occurs in safety. We know that everyone decides for themselves what feels safe. We are committed to creating spaces where people feel safe.
  • Trustworthiness & Transparency We hold ourselves accountable for building and maintaining trust. The trust of our clients and community is vital to us. We do this through honesty, transparency, and reliability.
  • Mutual Support We believe social support helps in the healing process. Positive interactions with other survivors build self-esteem. We provide opportunities for these connections.
  • Collaboration Working together is the only way to end domestic violence. We advocate for victim services. We work to build partnerships that help us reach this goal.
  • Empowerment & Choice Domestic violence victims often don’t get to make their own choices. Choice is an essential part of healing. We use shared decision-making and goal-setting to empower victims to make their own choices.
  • Diversity & Equity We serve all survivors of domestic violence regardless of race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, sexual identity, age, disability, or faith. We believe all are deserving of a future free from violence.
